Dyne Pens, also known as Dyne Test Pens and Surface Energy Pens are used to measure surface energy of a material in mN/m which is the same as Dynes/cm.
Pens are manufactured as Type A (ISO8296 Toxic) and Type B (Non Toxic) and are available in even values between 30 and 72 dynes/cm.

The 6 Pack of Dyne Pens comes in a handy 6 pack box. Dyne Pens are a great way to measure surface energy and are used as a quick quality test for determining problems with material cleanliness, print adhesion, adhesive bonding or coating issues.
Test Pens are the quickest and easiest way to measure surface energy and work best on clean materials. If you have a contaminated or oily surface, you may want to consider Test Ink Bottles with Single Use Swabs to avoid contaminating the pen nib.

Note that the reading difference between Type A and Type B varies depending on the material, you may get different results.
